This 2 year regional project is titled Strengthening Women Activism and Institute Grounds for Change in the Horn of Africa and is funded by Oxfam Novib. It will run for 2011-2012 in the Horn countries of Sudan- North and South, Somalia, Somaliland and Ethiopia.

The project components include;

• Community Activism for women rights and security.
• Support women activists inside their communities through provision of capacity tools for their safety and protection.
• Violence against women campaign.

This project is aimed at focusing on activism and women activists in the communities across the Horn. To support, develop and ensure recognition of the work done by the women rights activists and in turn encourage and support the women and men of the local communities through provision of participatory trainings, ToT, campaigns against VAW, dissemination of documentation, etc.
